A modular canvas stretcher made from 100% recycled ocean plastic. Build it by hand, stretch your canvas with clips instead of staples, and take it apart whenever you need to move, store or reuse it.
A stretcher that adapts to your work. FORMÆT is a patented modular canvas stretcher. Exterior segments join at the corners with L connectors and lock with pins. From 100 cm, interior segments with T and X connectors form an internal cross support that keeps the canvas evenly tensioned.
Stretch without staples. The canvas is fixed by hand with clips along every segment. No staples, no pliers and no holes in the fabric. Mount it, take it off and mount it again without damaging the canvas or the canvas frame.
Hang it in seconds. Clip the two Clip Hooks onto the canvas frame and hang the work from a wall bracket. No screw eyes, no wire.
Take it apart to ship or store. Push the pins out with the FORMÆT Key and the canvas frame packs flat. At the destination, rebuild it with the same parts.
Grow with your practice. The same parts work across sizes and formats. Add a segment pack to change the format, or join canvas frames into 2-module and 4-module pieces.
